System requirements
Clarus is a Windows app. There is no macOS or Linux build.

About the disk space
The installer is about 35 MB and the app takes roughly 120 MB installed. Video is where the space goes: the first time you record, Clarus downloads FFmpeg (around 300 MB) and keeps it. Editing generates preview filmstrips and proxy files, and Instant Replay keeps a rolling buffer while it is armed.
All of that is regenerable cache, kept separately from your captures, and it is deleted when you uninstall. In heavy video use it can reach around 2 GB. Your screenshots and recordings live in your own folders and are never touched by an uninstall.
What needs Windows 11
Everything works on Windows 10. Two things behave differently: the Snipping Tool takeover of Win+Shift+S is verified on Windows 11, and some Windows 10 builds handle the Print Screen key differently. Clarus checks what the system actually does and adapts rather than assuming.
Permissions
Clarus asks for the microphone only when you turn it on for a recording, and for the camera only if you add a webcam. It does not ask for anything at install time beyond a normal installation prompt.
